This is one of our Mud Hub Greenhouses in full summer season. More importantly, the owners have exercised some good gardening techniques that are worth pointing out. They incorporated flowers to attract bees and beneficial insects to feed on garden pests, such as aphids & squash bugs. Around the garden, which you cannot see, are rosemary, marigolds and other pungent plantings which help to “guard” their greenhouse. Mint family plants and herbs, such as peppermint, cilantro, onions, oregano and parsley are present throughout. Weeds are kept to a minimum in the raised beds by fresh mulch. This garden is rounded out with tomatoes, kale, snow peas and carrots, planted as complementary crops next to others.
